As of today, there are no more studio sessions available for May (with the exception of newborns) - there is still 1 more outdoor session available.
June has 1 studio session left and a couple of outdoors left - July has started to book as well, week-ends are filling fast so please do contact me to book now so disappointment can be avoided!
And outdoor session has so much potential, it's not your average pose, sit and say cheese, it's more of an adventure and experience, a time to just enjoy the day and each other as a family. The results are great for storyboards, canvas prints and Christmas cards. (never too early to think of that!)
While daytime is great for photos - the evening light is actually some of the most flattering - so a lot of sessions occur around 6:00 (or later in the summer), the setting sun at the river is just wonderful and makes for some lovely memories.
What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate? We do live in Saskatchewan - land of the great wind and very unpredictable - and that's ok, we can either move the session indoors on location or re-schedule for another day and time. I've had one session end up being re-scheduled 4 different times because of the weather - but it turned out to be one of the most amazing sessions to date, so it was well worth it.
It's important to stay flexible not only in the scheduling but in the actual session as well - remember the photos are a reminder of how life is now - that may mean a little one has his/her pacifier or important blanket, a toddler may be on daddy's shoulders or holding mommy's hand - and that's ok, it's how life is right now and we're trying to capture that.
Life and children change so very quickly, what feels like caos today will be fun-filled memories in the future. :)
