Does it get any sweeter?

We finally got a girl! (actually, 2 girls, so my big batch of 5 bellies ended up with 3 boys and 2 girls - not bad!) She was so sweet and didn't put up much fuss about going to sleep. :)

Some people wonder why newborn photos are done so early - there is really a huge difference between a 7 day old and a 3 week old - at 7 days they are just very content to be snuggled and sleep and do what we want - at 3 weeks they are just *that* much more aware of what's going on and not as happy to be tucked up into a little ball. :)

There are some moms who worry about being in photos 7 days after bringing this little miracle into the world - don't worry! There are so many creative things we can do, mom's body can be hidden with angles and baby, only her hand and cheek can be used, so many ways to make things flattering for everyone.

It's all about life "right now" - weather that be a new baby with the belly button "stump" still on, or a super sleepy baby, it's a great way to record just how little and precious they are at this very moment. Sometimes it's not all about the "cheese" photos. :)

Tomorrow I get to meet the other baby girl and then Saturday little baby Will - all these newborn snuggles! It's wonderful!
