Isn't he sweet??? He was one of 3 super awesome kids from this session - the weather started off quite grey and bleak (I was honestly worried we would be rained out) - and then out of nowhere the sun came out and it was HOT! The kids had a blast playing in the leaves and just enjoying the autumn weather - like it should be when you're 2!

It's such a shame our fall foliage is rather short lived around here - I have just a few short weeks to try and fit it all in - assuming the rain and wind don't totally bother us! (and snow. grr.) There's just that magical couple of weeks where the sun is just right - so golden - the leaves are all starting to turn - there's a nice number of them on the ground, and when everything comes together it really is amazing!

Every year I get inquiries for fall photos just as the leaves are turning - and I almost always end up having to just add them to my ever growing cancellation list - my falls book up very quickly (starting in April this year) - if a fall session (or any outdoor summer session for that matter) is something you're interested in, I would suggest booking as soon as you can to save a spot for you - they really don't last long. I really do hate having to say no - but I am also a mother who very much cherishes and values her time with her children and for my sanity sake I do have to limit my number of available sessions.

That being said - we are working on some very exciting things in my house right now that will definitely aid in my photography - it will mean a disruption in my studio sessions for a few months (we're looking at summer - so that will just mean more available outdoor sessions!) - but it will be SO worth it in the end --- stay tuned in for a more official announcement in the future!
