Bye Bye Summer :(

My daughter starts kindergarten in 2 days...... so I'm trying to stop denying and and start embracing this whole "summer's gone" concept - it's been a very wild 2 months.

We swam in lakes all over the province - at Blackstrap, Goodspirit, Waskesieu, Bird's Point - camped at several places, enjoying fires and night and leaky tents in storms. We visited the zoo at Calgary (the newly renoed dino park is awesome- and the new butterfly garden is AMAZING!) - we picked raspberries and ate them until we felt sick - visited grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles all over 3 different provinces - attended a wedding, built a sand box and flower garden - drywalled, painted, sided, light hung, and had some frustrating moments in the new addition building.

The end of summer for us starts some very exciting times - there is the BBQ competition in Calgary my husband participates in (which means I'll participate in Ikea shopping - hee hee!) - my daughter starts kindergarten and my son starts preschool which means some kid-free hours each week (wow!) - and September is hands down THE wildest month photography wise, so I'm ready to break out the sweaters and have some fall fun!

Thank you everyone for a great summer, I met some wonderful people, had great sessions with some returning clients who feel like long lost friends, I've watched children grow from tiny newborns to walking toddlers - I love it all and can't wait to do it again next year!
